Our friend Melissa, opened our eyes as to what gratitude
really means. Please take a moment to allow Melissa’s
magic to work on you too.
What are you thankful for?
This week we have been doing the 8 Day Gratitude Challenge…
…and it has been a heart expanding process.
I met Melissa Hevenor at a conference. I was immediately
struck by the unfettered joy that radiated from her. You couldn’t help
but be drawn to her she seemed to be having such a good time.
I asked her the question I had been putting to everyone: What are
you thankful for. Her response floored me.
This was a woman whose life had been filled with challenges.
Diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a young child, she had spent much of
her life in a wheelchair.
Yet through it all she has gained two Master’s degrees in Mental Health
Counseling and in Rehabilitation Counseling. Melissa is also a gifted psychic,
a medical intuitive and a medium who connects with people who are on the other
side. She uses her intuitive gifts to do groundbreaking work with children who
are autistic and are victims of domestic violence.
She is an author,a motivational speaker and now is teaching others to do her work.
I was amazed and humbled by Melissa’s response. I realized that true
gratitude is a choice we make and practice over and over again until it
becomes our way of responding to life.
